1. O Egypt, within you lies the Nile and pyramids
Where the great Pharaohs lie dormant

2. And upon the Sphinx many symbols
As if keeping watch over you

3. Ramses looks upon you sleeplessly
With a crown and double crown upon his head

4. Look to the successors and Pharaohs
Their spirits forever guided

5. And take from the Quran a fortress beneath which
The pyramids and temples seem small

6. No walls around your protection but a surah
O nation protected by Islam

7. Land of civilization, Arabness, and guidance
Where the unbelievers and non-Arabs were defeated
