On the green cloth that entices

Fearing the fall of fate's dice

4. Hands clasped the cards trembling
As destiny's dice rolled on

5. There, eyelids drooped and faces
Dusty with death's pallor

6. Eyes aflame red with passion
Cheeks yellow with cowardice

7. Each gambler tells of sin
Awaiting the justice of death's rule

8. Seeing the executioner before him
Sword of justice held high

9. I've seen misery in life by force
Yet gamblers choose misery

10. One moment mute as ghosts
Another shouting, confused

11. Cursing, spewing dishonor
One laughs crazily at his winnings

12. Another moans his constant losing
Cursing the cards in rage

13. Casting them down like embers
Devoid of senses, night or day

14. If you see them dead, have no mercy
For madness has claimed these gamblers
