1. I warned one with wealth who grew feeble and aged
And plunged into sins, lingering and camping

2. You see the patience of elders from the youth
And if the fool speaks, you see him shout

3. And I excused a boon companion whose company intoxicated me
When in weakness, he wished we be friends

The ropes of his affection went slack
