1. Thus shall he who rose for Allah's cause
And struggled for it with strong determination

2. Gladden the Commander of the Faithful with victory
Bestowed upon you by Allah, the All Powerful according to His decree

3. You belittled the dear wealth compared to the victory
So He gave you honor for belittling it that will last forever

4. You came with a soul that has no equal
So you were rewarded with instant victory and reward

5. You met the kings of the Turks when their army came
As an enemy to Allah's religion with arrogance and disbelief

6. You destroyed kings the likes of which no kingly determination has achieved
With the aim of their armies wandering confused

7. And you met them when they came to you with determination
Like the Messenger of Allah's determination at the two battles of Badr

8. You attacked them with a Hashimite assault
That made them taste a bitter cup of endurance

9. You left them slain, their prey scattered
Distributed between An-nun, As-sayyid and An-nasr

10. It is right for whoever sincerely rose to defend his religion
To be supported with victory

11. O governor, you were a suitable match so it was brought to you
As gifts presented when you excelled in generosity

12. It came to you as a virgin and surrendered while a widow
So treat her well for a widow is better than a virgin

13. O battle that brought safety to all people
Returning ease where there was hardship

14. Congratulations to those who prayed facing its heat
To be safe on the Day of Judgement from the flames of heat

15. I wish I was between its rows
To relate my news in passion, news after news

16. I roam as the best of people watch my boldness
On the battle line, advancing, attacking and retreating

17. I would throw my honored neck before it
And shatter the chest of determination with my own chest

18. I would return drenched in the blood
To arrive in Paradise wearing green garments

19. And if some detested life remains
I will return the white blades to red scabbards

20. I have raised to you, O noble gate, a poem
That takes the place of a slave's praise and gratitude

21. It is adorned, a necklace completed by its gems
With what I composed praising your favors, O radiant pearls

22. I praised you hoping to attain a position
That would balance my poetry and raise my worth

23. Otherwise, the one the book came praising
Has no need for praise through poetry
