1. A master lost in the folly of his age,
And the age lost in the master's folly.

2. The Lord of the Throne granted him favor,
And the Lord's favors cannot be counted.

3. He endowed him with signs of knowledge,
O, the beauty of the signs God granted!

4. How many dead in ignorance his knowledge revived,
Bringing them out of the pit of ignorance.

5. And how many blind in confusion his grace cured,
Freeing them from the shackles of doubt.

6. And how many, imprisoned by their whims,
He stood up and freed.

7. He is the Messiah of knowledge in his time,
His qualities derived from it.
