Rise, for the darkness' gloom has spread

The dawn's spear pierced the night's liver

16. Like the Kamees tribe's spear's stab to the Kamees' liver
It appears, polished in gentle dripping

17. Radiant from its pure spring
So blackness upon redness and whiteness

18. Like the embroidered, adorned fabric
Or as if the stream were wrapped in tar

19. Dripping from its clear spring
And the trees' singing in the morning clarity

20. Chanting with their temple-like melody
Whenever the breeze makes a trill

21. The leaves flutter from the branches' shaking
With tweets that mute the son of Sareeh

22. And singing that sings instead of the son of Ghanee
Arabized in their tune about passion

23. Westernized in its foreign melody
In a meter beyond numerating

24. Neither set nor open nor twisted
Give it to me, for the blossoms of spikenard

25. Have appeared in the radiance of its dawn
So the gardens' mouths smile good news

26. For the crying of the lovesick and the tattooed
And the tongue of Spring praises it

27. In the phraseology known to al-Mandali
Whenever the winds walk

28. Between a bloomer from its plants and flowers
Walking between fresh and tender

29. Witty mint and wise basil
Give it to me as if it were the glow of the sun

30. Appearing from its Aries burj
For in its cup it is like fire and water

31. Tied down by the power of strong hands
The melting fire dissolved in frozen water

32. So marvel at the solid melting
Gold dissolved in a clay jug

33. And took on the essence of pearls
Oh felled by wine-cups, take it as a first drink

34. To take away cares with the golden drink
When it flowed in the body it only flowed

35. With healing from every chronic illness
But the respite of youth is splendor

36. So enjoy it by plundering of a happy life
It's as if youth has quickly passed

37. And old age came with its decrepit prohibition
And after that expect forbearance
