1. If the sun of knowledge declines graciously
From the heart's sight, it is about to go blind,

2. And the veil of ignorance prevents its penetration,
It finds the space of knowledge shooting but not shot.

3. We did not think that our sun, its light
Would set, showing in our visions, always.

4. If the days decided on its absence,
We cried, so its watcher's place is tearful.

5. O you who lent the sun the light of your perfection,
Giving it from your knowledge its joyous knowledge.

6. Bestow upon our minds its radiance,
So that it shows us its how and how much.

7. And how can its essence's display be seen through it,
And in the extent that you are seen through it, you are named?

8. Clarifying in the act or in the passion,
And you are worthy of answering the greatest.
