1. O king who adorned the epoch,
And surpassed the kings of the world in flight,

2. You outdid Hatim in generosity,
And trampled over great men in your steps.

3. You picked the ripe fruits early,
Plucking the virgin buds.

4. Do you not see time coming to us,
With good news and tidings?

5. It brings us what came to us,
The best and most generous that has come.

6. The feast and Nairuz are in a state,
And the rise of al-Mansur and victory.

7. The land was lost in it and revived,
Strutting in its green dress.

8. The clouds frowned over its light,
So the mouth of light smiled broadly.

9. Fasting has passed with its pains,
And breaking the fast with pleasures multiplied.

10. So rise up without delay or idleness,
Let us sip the mixed wine.

11. A Hiraan woman freed from captivity,
Came to tell of Khosrow.

12. And she imagined the golden Jerusalem wine,
To be dust in her cup.

13. Or embers melted in solid water,
Displaying pearls above it.

14. And enjoy pleasure in its time,
And rise, we will plunder lives.

15. In an orchard I perfume, whose saplings
Appear yellow in the branches.

16. As if when it appeared in its meadow,
It was the face of a sky that rose as a flower.

17. And be safe and live in abundant comfort,
That makes time age on its firmness.
