1. Have you left invading the roads and come
To fight people at Muhammad's grave?

2. How evil the guidance you have been guided by,
How foul the deed of the willful ignoramus!

3. If you come in peace, we will make the outskirts of your encampments
Surround the city, near and far.

4. Or if you turn away, how evil your journey has been!
Never has any leader fared as badly as yours.

5. It was as though the Prophet's companions were
Bodies being slaughtered at the mosque's gate.

6. Weep for Abu Amr amid his fine affliction,
Who dwelled last evening in Al-Baqi's flooded ground.
