1. He folded his arms and closed his door
And knew that God is never unaware
١. فَكَفَّ يَدَيهِ ثُمَّ أَغلَقَ بابَهُ
وَأَيقَنَ أَنَّ اللَهَ لَيسَ بِغافِلِ
2. He told his household “Do not kill them now”
May God forgive one who did not start a fight
٢. وَقالَ لِأَهلِ الدارِ لا تَقتُلوهُمُ
عَفا اللَهُ عَن ذَنبِ اِمرِئٍ لَم يُقاتِلِ
3. How could you see that God has cast on them
Enmity and hatred after their embrace
٣. فَكَيفَ رَأَيتَ اللَهَ أَلقى عَلَيهُمُ ال
عَداوَةَ وَالبَغضاءَ بَعدَ التَواصُلِ
4. How could you see that good has turned away
Leaving people like heavy rains that leave
٤. وَكَيفَ رَأَيتَ الخَيرَ أَدبَرَ بَعدَهُ
عَلى الناسِ إِدبارَ السَحابِ الحَوافِلِ
