1. Ka'b and 'Amir were both brought low,
By our swords on the day we met at Badr.
١. لَقَد شَقِيَت كَعبٌ جَميعاً وَعامِرٌ
بِأَسيافِنا يَومَ اِلتَقَينا عَلى بَدرِ
2. We slaughtered them like dogs, leaving
No man among them cause for boasting.
٢. قَتَلناهُمُ قَتلَ الكِلابِ فَلَم نَدَع
لَهُم في جَميعِ الناسِ يا صاحِ مِن فَخرِ
