1. O my people who sheltered their prophet,
And believed him, while the people of earth disbelieved,

2. Except the elite of past nations,
Who were righteous supporters alongside the Ansar as supporters,

3. Welcoming joyfully the decree of Allah, their words:
“Welcome, welcome in safety and abundance,

4. Blessed is the prophet, blessed is the decree and the neighbor.”
They settled him in a house where he fears not,

5. For their neighbor in it is the abode, it is the abode.
They shared with him therein wealth when they arrived,

6. Warring and the share for the disbelieving is the Fire.
They traveled secretly and marched to Badr at their appointed time,

7. If only they knew with sure knowledge they would not have marched.
He misguided them with delusions then surrendered them,

8. Indeed the wicked one is a deceiver to whoever befriended him.
And he said, “I am a protector to you,” thereby leading them

9. To the worst of watering holes, wherein lies disgrace and shame.
Then we met and they fled from their beddings,

10. As supporters and among them was a group that hid away.
