حصان رزان ما تزن بريبة

1. A graceful steed does not falter with doubt
Yet becomes covered in flesh of the slain

١. حَصانٌ رَزانٌ ما تُزِنُّ بِريبَةٍ
وَتُصبِحُ غَرثى مِن لُحومِ الغَوافِلِ

2. Protection of the living, from Lu'ay, son of Ghalib
Their glorious endeavors will never fade

٢. عَقيلَةُ حَيٍّ مِن لُؤَيِّ بنِ غالِبٍ
كِرامِ المَساعي مَجدُهُم غَيرُ زائِلِ

3. Refined, as God has perfumed her dwelling
And cleansed it of idols and all wickedness

٣. مُهَذَّبَةٌ قَد طَيَّبَ اللَهُ خَيمَها
وَطَهَّرَها مِن كُلِّ سورٍ وَباطِلِ

4. If I have said what you claim I have said
Then my fingers did not raise my voice to me

٤. فَإِن كُنتُ قَد قُلتُ الَّذي قَد زَعَمتُمُ
فَلا رَفَعَت صَوتي إِلَيَّ أَنامِلي

5. How could that be when my love and support
Are for the house of God's Messenger, pride of all people

٥. فَكَيفَ وَوِدّي ما حَيِيتُ وَنُصرَتي
لِآلِ رَسولِ اللَهِ زَينِ المَحافِلِ

6. He has a lofty station above all mankind
Beyond the reach of the outstretched hands of any rival

٦. لَهُ رَتَبٍ عالٍ عَلى الناسِ كُلِّهِم
تَقاصَرُ عَنهُ سَورَةَ المُتَطاوِلِ

7. For what has been said is no idle prattle
Rather the words of a noble and judicious man

٧. فَإِنَّ الَذي قَد قيلَ لَيسَ بِلائِطٍ
وَلَكِنَّهُ قَولُ اِمرِئٍ بِيَ ماحِلِ
