1. O splitter, if not for what was cast upon you,
Your worth to God would be in glory and lineage.

2. You adorned your people with disgrace and deficiency,
That no living Arab had adorned before.

3. O robber of the house with pillars as its adornment,
Return the gazelle, for the robber will not remain hidden.

4. Ask the tribe of Al-Harith Al-Muzri, altogether,
Where is the gazelle with jewels of gold upon it?

5. Wretched are the sons, and wretched is their elder,
Cursed is that elder and his progeny.
