When they differed, and crookedness entered the pair

Are daring acts and vain conceit?

If the shepherds were to be chosen

10. Its urgings called him when pillars of the state
Collapsed and the skies poured

11. The Quraishi leaders said, upon us
Is the sale, when prices soared

12. They saw Abdel Aziz, heir apparent
They did no wrong thereby, nor evil

13. Then swear its senile oath to him
The Commander of the Faithful, if you wish

14. The people have extended to him
Their palms, and obscurity fled

15. Had you pledged to him as heir apparent
Justice would be established and the building set right
