1. My friend, this is an ardent messenger
Who obtains by his insistence what was denied
١. أَمولايَ هَذا رسولٌ عنيفٌ
يَنالُ بِإلحاحهِ ما اِمتَنع
2. But since I could find no way out
I will humor his deception, so I was deceived
٢. وَلكنّني حيثُ لَم ألف بدّاً
لأُسعفَ خادَعتهُ فَاِنخَدع
3. So if you find fate difficult in this life
Then fight with good fortune, otherwise leave it be
٣. فَإِن أنتَ ناواكَ في الدهرِ صعبٌ
فَقاتِل بسعدٍ وإلّا فَدَع
