1. The dawn emerged from the insight of Khayr al-Din
It enriched the eyes, making explanation unnecessary

2. It turned away the darkness of injustice and ignorance
And dispelled it with the light of certainty

3. Error and misguidance in the days of ignorance vanished
And the lost one in the oblivion of trial and discord saw clearly

4. The maker of sinful refuges was startled
And the startled one was reassured and felt safe

5. The coolness of its breeze circulated in the night of frost
In every hidden malady of the souls

6. The shade of the banners of security lengthened
And the crops of just rule ripened in cultivation

7. No wonder the people praised their happy travel
With the dawn of sincere advice in pleasurable nights

8. Creation is well-pastured and the shepherd organized
The system of salvation and its coded sequence

9. Advice among them and mutual dissuasion
From every disliked thing, like its scattered crumbs

10. They have a covenant and a trust they observe
Remaining over their world and religion

11. Justice is the authority of every empowered king
Who rules with clear authority over it

12. The most just of them has the most encompassing authority
And the most righteous arm in leniency or severity

13. The leniency of governors is latent dismissal
And complacency in the trust of empowerment

14. The trust is compassion - the Glorious was too shy
To impose it on them, though firm of structure

15. Knowing that uprightness, by God's command
Is a burden that bends every sturdy pillar

16. But man volunteered to bear it
So an inspired guide might be distinguished from the tempted

17. Religious law is the path of happiness in convention
And worship, facile without gloom

18. But harmful innovations around it
Are scattered in passes and uncouth lands

19. So the deviant plunge into their perils
As prey without companion or pair

20. Why didn't the people of perfection and its essence
Pounce on it with claws of vindication?

21. They should have set upon it through precedent channels
Clarifying, while they are slain by the arts of temptation

22. Do they hope, unable to compete,
To attain it - the wish of the doomed?

23. Never! Not while its authority has parted ways
Since it made its own rule in affairs

24. Except by a unifier its disorder dispelled
Who clears away the mist, gentle to the soft

25. The goal of the star was not its goal
Had it not been among the concerns of Khayr al-Din

26. That exceptional minister, high-minded
Who understood the highest minds of the highbred

27. He is the one whose wisdom encompassed kingdoms
And whose strategy captivated them gently

28. He dictated a complete collection of wisdom
Binding the unfettered and freeing the captive

29. He established clearly the laws of protection
And the paths of civilization and progress

30. He held the reins of injustice and protected them
Clarifying the way of advice, not concealing it

31. A garden in which prohibitions take refuge
Not frequented around the balanced, well-ordered law

32. In each of its lines, the skill of a wise one
Casting singular, hidden pearls

33. The critics examined it only to record
The most upright good review, honest

34. To you it unveils the treasures of wisdom
Which are guided, solid guesswork dispelling

35. Through it rose the sun of guidance from the verdant east
Lighting the quarters of the inhabited world

36. Guiding the world to the most upright nation
Which brought needs closer to every barren coast

37. So let them be guided, praise, and record
