1. When troubles press you and dangers affright,
Trust not for help on any but God;
١. اِذا ما دَهاكَ الخطبُ تَخشى ضَرارَهُ
فَلا تَنتَظِر نَصراً سِوى نَصرِ خالِقك
2. Therefore, if fortune sufficient appear not,
Or if it tarry long, only rely
٢. فَاِن قَلَّ مالٌ أَو تَأَخَّر وَقتُهُ
فَلا تَتَرَقَّب غَير اِحسانِ رازِقِك
