And foreign beauty with an Arab's fame
١. لبني المنجِّم فطنَةٌ لَهَبِيَّه
وَمَحاسِن عَجميَّةٌ عرَبِيَّه
2. I've praised them still and spread their merit wide
Till charged with over-zealous partisanship
٢. ما زِلتُ أَمدَحُهُم وَأَنشُرُ فَضلَهُم
حَتّى اِتُّهِمتُ بِشِدَّة العصَبِيَّه
