1. No relief for your eyes from staring at the ruins,
So much blood was shed there,

2. How many homes did time ruin,
And how many meals did it devour,

3. Between the prime of youth,
And the gathering of companions.

4. How many garments did it expose,
To bare their hidden meanings.

5. Quenching my journey with them,
And camels vying with camels.

6. Before time exhausted its people,
And quenched their thirst.

7. Quenching and grazing those,
Who wore fine garments.

8. Quenching them even if they left,
The homes and encampments.

9. Oh my tears, assist me,
And endure a pouring rain.

10. Pour upon their traces,
To water my orchards with gifts.

11. And dampen with tears what,
Blood of wounds poured out.

12. Even if my gray hair blamed me,
And censured me.

13. And diverted desire from,
My heart, I do not pasture gazelles.

14. For gray hair is disgrace, except,
The letter Baa was substituted.

15. Youth is a guest that does not stay,
For familiar intimacy.

16. I wore a new dress,
Weary of an old creation.

17. Leave off types of dreams,
And do not water youth in vain.

18. Mother of defects, sins,
Stumbling, and mistakes.

19. It calls to stripping piety,
And persisting in wrongdoing.

20. While gray hair is welcomed,
For it is what was once youth.

21. My craving for crimes,
I obeyed in haste.

22. I repent sincerely,
To the Almighty.

23. Interceding through Muhammad,
And his progeny, the chosen ones.

24. Oh my masters, loyalty to you,
Is my creed, so welcome.

25. Save your loyal one,
And tend to his hopes.

26. He said more than a thousand,
Parables in your praise.

27. And left the hostile ones,
As examples of filth.

28. When he knew religion is words,
And deeds.

29. Oh Haydar, the brave hero,
Whoever avoids you strays.

30. By God, the oath of a man,
Of the purest essence.

31. I never strayed from love of you,
The people of the camel.

32. You, by whose sword,
And spear, faith was perfected.

33. You, whom the revelation,
Proves your high rank descended.

34. You who slept on the,
Bed in the night of distress.

35. You who led the prayer,
Before all people with the best worshipper.

36. You who on Badr day,
Argued with strong devils.

37. You who at Uhud,
Stood steadfast like a mountain.

38. You who at Khaibar,
Removed all sorts of harms.

39. You who at the Trench,
Humbled Amr till he faded.

40. You who at Hudaybiyyah,
Judged the edges of the sword.

41. You who on day of Hunayn,
Seized opportunity for victory.

42. You who regarding Bara’a,
Did not withdraw.

43. You who carried the flag,
In every lofty setting.

44. You who will serve drink,
From the Cistern tomorrow, best of drinks.

45. You to whom the sun returned,
After setting.

46. You who left Pharaoh,
And Moses confounded.

47. You who married Fatima,
The best union.

48. You from whom the two excellent Sayyids,
Descended.

49. You from Hashim on,
Both sides what was handed down.

50. You whose father protected,
The Prophet, independent.

51. You whom the immaculate one took as son,
When he supplicated.

52. You whom the cloak gathered,
In the best place.

53. You who was called to soar,
Despite the low ones.

54. You whose contracts,
On the Day of Ghadir cannot be undone.

55. You due to whose love,
Adoption was made pleasant.

56. You who became Ahmad’s door,
When asked.

57. You who will divide fire,
And ruin the wicked.

58. You who gained leadership,
With your slipper above planets.

59. You about whom it was revealed,
‘Has there come’ and did not depart.

60. You who removed his slipper,
Among a hostile people.

61. You whom Mustafa entrusted,
In his last testament.

62. You who was the best of all people,
Without an equal.

63. You whose words,
Were between youthful and sweet.

64. You whom the Messenger made brother,
Openly when he prepared.

65. You who taught all people,
The ways of glory.

66. You who by the sword humbled,
The dissenter and deviator.

67. You who inclined over the rebels,
Like a death sentence.

68. You who cools your followers,
From the fires of trials.

69. You who saved them,
While war blazed with flames.

70. You who ruled the world,
Without ‘perhaps’ or ‘if only’.

71. You never once bowed down,
To an idol.

72. You who inflicted on your enemies,
The harshest of circumstances.

73. You without whose aid,
The religion would not persist.

74. You without whom the clear verse,
Would not be separated from the ambiguous.

75. You who drinks from the water,
Of the highest ideals, and ascends.

76. You who is called vast sea,
Of knowledge, while the people are still bleary.

77. You whom caution never halted,
Nor failing blocked.

78. You who sweetened time,
With his surplus kindness after cessation.

79. You by whose might,
The throne of the defiant shakes.

80. You, every obstinate disbeliever,
If he meets you is tried.

81. You, whom I am compelled,
Despite my inadequacy, to carry what I cannot shoulder.

82. And how many reports,
I omitted impossible to bear.

83. The Chosen One guided,
Whoever had a receptive heart.

84. So accept them as necklaces,
Like pure pearls.

85. Well-knit strands, enriched,
By their kohl without need of kohl.

86. Their swords piercing,
The hostile ones, never missing.

87. How many loyalists hear them,
And are amazed.

88. And how many supplicants, whenever,
Recited, encounters embarrassment.

89. One who is narrated them rejoices,
Without intoxication or answers.

90. He knows my thoughts,
Grazed in it and was gentle.

91. For the elite were unable to attain it,
Despite narrating the length.

92. And how far from it is the donkey,
If he strived and journeyed.

93. If written in essence of maidens,
It would be found difficult.

94. Ibn Abbad came with it,
From an improvised thought.

95. If told: do you want by it,
A means? I said yes.

96. I build by it a means,
For the day death comes to me.
