1. My soul has attained its wish
Through praising the family of Taha (Prophet Muhammad)

2. Through praising the Messenger of Allah, who attained glory and contained it
And his brother, the best of souls

3. Whom Allah honored in creating him
And the daughter of Mustafa, who

4. Resembled her father in excellence
And in loving Al-Hasan the eloquent

5. Whose glory reached the highest levels
And Al-Husayn the chosen one on the day

6. When trials surrounded him
There is no one among them but a shining star

7. That reached the highest elevation
They are a family whom the whole world

8. Became humbled before
Do not be deceived when they were usurped

9. Through the transgression of their enemies
O you envious one, wretched is

10. Your state when you cast stones at their sanctity
Is there a year like their years?

11. Is there a nobility like their nobility?
Or are they not the elite of Allah

12. Whom He chose and tested?
He chose them when He chose them

13. And exalted them above the stars
The trees of knowledge are blessed

14. For those who attained their fruits
O you who hate them, listen

15. I have taken my bow ready to shoot
Listen to undebatable merits

16. In my sincere poetry
The one who in battle protects his oaths

17. While the heroes’ shoulders clung to each other in fear
The one who hunts down the prey

18. When it escapes, pursues it
He pursued it, then was pleased with it

19. When he overcame them
The one who has in every day

20. Unparalleled heroisms
How many rugged battles has he

21. Vanquished with his sword?
O you who hate me and cast

22. Stones recklessly at me
Remember the deeds of Badr

23. I do not want anything other than them
Remember the battle of Uhud

24. It is a shining sun
Remember the battle of Hunayn

25. It is a full moon in darkness
Remember Al-Ahzab, it will teach you

26. That he is a fierce lion
Remember Muhajir's slaying

27. How he completely destroyed him
Remember the event of Bariyyah

28. And believe me in who deserved it
Remember who married Zahra

29. So he may boast
Remember the morning flight

30. For its brilliance has soared
Remember the summits of knowledge

31. And who untangled its complexities
So many deeds I mentioned

32. And so many I forgot
His status is like that of Haroun

33. To Musa, so understand it
His mention in Allah's books

34. Encompasses who encompassed it
The nations of Musa and Isa

35. Have tested him, so ask them
Is there higher love for Ali

36. While people call me foolish?
My poetry did not enter their ears

37. Nor did its echo enter deaf ones
They neglected his closeness in ignorance

38. And exceeded its requirement
They broke their oath to him after certitude

39. And envied his strength
They cursed him with curses

40. That stuck to them bare of covering
And they lived a day of regret

41. That Allah did not make honorable
They sought the world while he

42. Turned away from it and spurned it
Were it not for the religion, he would not

43. Have cared for one who rejected it
He sought refuge from it even if

44. A dog had come to claim it
O you who will divide Hell and Heaven

45. Do not fear mistakes
The sun was returned for him

46. After its setting
He has the Prophet's overflowing cup

47. From which he gives drink to whom he wishes
The first of people in prayer

48. He made piety his garment
He knew the interpretation when

49. They were ignorant of what it contained
None can count his influences

50. That he protected and hid
Except the One who spread the earth

51. And counted everything wet and dry
What can the tribe of transgression fight him with

52. With all kinds of afflictions?
They killed him, then were not satisfied

53. With the horrors they put him through
They turned to fight his sons

54. With their wolves and their snakes
They wanted to kill the older one with poison

55. But it was not enough for them
So they set out to get Husayn

56. His family and his women
It is a world that does not make pure

57. The son of the religion that legislated it
They forbade him water and thirsted him

58. Brazenly when they met him
They denied him a drink while birds

59. Had quenched their thirst from his blood
They wasted his life, oh how

60. I wish my soul had ransomed his
His daughter calls for her father

61. His sister cries for her brother
If Ahmed had seen what sorrow

62. And grief befell him
If he had seen Zaynab taken captive

63. And seen Shimr leading her
He would have complained of his state to Allah

64. And He was worthier of relieving it
To Allah he will come

65. And He is best in rewarding
May Allah curse the son of Harb

66. With a curse that blackens foreheads
O you Shias, my words are not about

67. Those who opposed them
I was in a state of lament

68. Its harm distressed me
The cup of their grief made me drink

69. To sober from its intoxication
So I gained relief in this praise

70. When I first undertook it
By Allah, He did not let its harm

71. Remain after my poetry was complete
I thank Allah abundantly

72. Mighty is He on the Throne
Then my masters, for words

73. Are cast in their courtyard
O people of Kufa, recite this

74. And make its presentation beautiful
Son of Abbad, her father

75. To whom it is brought
He seeks Heaven through it

76. He wants no money or status
