1. The love of Ali is noble
And a matter of pride, if only they knew

2. It is said you went too far, how
Could that be possible with him

3. Where are those who turned away
From his virtues and collided

4. Why did they not stand
In battle where he stood

5. Why did they not know
In their knowledge what is known

6. Why did they not return
To him when they differed

7. Why was he called to lead
The vanguard yet they did not draw near

8. Why did he march to
Amr while they lagged behind

9. Why did he carry the
Banner when they went astray

10. Why was he named the heir
In Ghadir when they were turned away

11. Why was he wed to
Zahra when they deemed themselves noble

12. Why on the day of Ghadeer were they
Not given any honor

13. Why on the day of the cloak were they
Excluded, not gathered near

14. Why on the day of Mubahela when
They were not singled out

15. Why was Aaron with them
When he was being tested

16. He gave to the poor in
His bowing yet they sought gifts

17. If you doubt then recite
For it is preserved in the Book

18. I have abundant knowledge
If only there was a fair listener

19. But I live in a land
Where few judge fairly

20. O Family of Taha your love
Is an obligation I avow

21. I will follow my way
As long as I live, I will not waver

22. And if they say, a Rejecter
Extravagant or defiant

23. Surely the Son of Abbad through you
Has attained what he visioned

24. He hopes for chambers from you
Above which rise chambers

25. Wherein is the Prophet, the Heir
And the established guiding stars
