1. A grave claimed a maiden of the honored family
Like a branch watered by raining tears

2. At twenty-seven her light faded away
As did the crescent moons in the bright nights

3. She hastily appealed to God in prayer
And by His mercy obtained contentment and forgiveness

4. Her epitaph came bearing the good news:
“She won the kingdom; in bliss she dwells Alexandria”
