1. Indeed, God's blessing has passed away
To be near his Forgiving Creator
١. لَقَد مَضى نِعمةُ اللَّهِ الكَريمِ إِلى
جِوارِ خالقِهِ الغَفّارِ مُنصَرِفاً
2. From the family of Kababah, from the honored house
Known for goodness, righteousness and benevolence
٢. مِن آلِ كَبّابةٍ مِن بَيتِ مَكرُمَةٍ
بِالخَيرِ وَالبِرِّ والإِحسانِ قَد عُرِفا
3. Valiant, whose loss brought tears to the eyes
Of the leaders as they wept profusely for him
٣. شَهمٌ بَكَتهُ مُهمّاتُ الأُمورِ كَما
أَجرى العُفاةَ عَلَيهِ مَدمَعاً ذَرَفا
4. So I cried out, I recorded the one whose death
They mourn, “O God's blessing has passed, what a pity!”
٤. فَصاحَ أَرَّختُ مَن قَد راحَ يَندبُهُ
يا نِعمةَ اللَّهِ قَد وَلَّت فَواأَسَفا
