1. The sword rested and the enemies relaxed,
Oh supporter of nations, save my country,

2. In vain you liberate some slaves
While you keep others in bondage,

3. A nation you want for life
Is not like a nation that lives in servitude,

8. So the weather is gloomy, and the land

9. Nations fall upon other nations
And armies march against armies,

10. Death for the souls, so where
Can it be repelled? It lies in ambush,

11. In the edge of the sword, or in the mouth of a cannon
Over ruins and in the belly of the valley,

12. Under the wing of darkness, at dawn
And when lightning and thunder strike,

13. They said this is the day of nations, but when
It engulfed the earth, they said it's doomsday,

14. They claimed it's a war to protect truth
And concealed the facts in their hearts,

15. If you wish, it's a defensive war
Incited by violation of sanctity and neutrality,

16. And if you wish, it's a war of survival,
And if you wish, it's a war of economy,

32. Set a limit to these wars even if
Whiteness of mourning supports it,

33. Evil is fought by evils out of necessity
Many times reconciliation comes from chaos,

34. People's way of life is a cycle
Its wickedness intensifies its evil,

35. Oh supporter of nations, wishes
Are the paths of the miserable to happiness,

36. We are a people, and you know best of a
Vigorous people, easy to lead,

37. We sailed the seas seeking glory
Determined people loathing inertia,

38. And we carved mountains until they became
Pastures of grass, and we penetrated the deserts,

39. And we cultivated settlements, one after
Another, diminishing the dens of lions,

40. May God grant you long life, do not restrict
Us after this, for living is living by strife,

41. And the people returned, all pure, and we
Became, despite them, the valley’s streams,

42. Did people stray into misguidance
When they said you are the guiding messenger,

43. And they feared in your name the arbitration of a
Strong one upon the weak and the lost ones by guidance,

44. And the submission of the group to the individual by force
And the shackles remaining on the necks,

45. Tightening the shackles on people’s necks
