1. Your return, my Master, and Allah is witness
A return that fulfills our hopes and purposes

2. Allah decreed you be absent for a while
Yet whatever Allah wills, He executes and decides

3. So the decree of the land became delightful in your absence
As events were confused, yet it persevered

4. Had you not taught it, by Allah, forbearance from the start
It would have mastered patience while struggling on

5. It wouldn’t have lived until you returned again
With pacts made around you within it

6. You revived hopes and enlivened souls
And strengthened companions, so rebels were subdued

7. And tended the wound of justice after it festered
None but you can roll up sleeves up to such tasks

8. You were gentle with it like a loving parent
As if, my Master, you were its own father

9. So blessed was the day you returned victorious
With ice broken before you in ardent zeal

10. And blessed was the day a lord was honored
While an enemy, like an envier, was disgraced

11. And blessed was the day your wishes were fulfilled
For on that day, the full moon was in view

12. You secured a pillar and best place of refuge
By Allah, none contests your superiority

13. We endured the darkness of ordeals for a time
With patience, calamities can be destroyed

14. We spent our nights sleepless and unaware of fatigue
Does one who is awake know sleep? And He is witness

15. As if our nights had no darkness until this day
With no dawn, yet your Lord is witness

16. You have come, so joy has filled hearts
After struggling in jihad, the holy warrior succeeded

17. Like land parched, then watered by clouds
Her meadows have sprouted and streams overflowed

18. Like a branch stripped bare of leaves by winter
Nearly dead while battling on

19. Then dressed by spring with fine attire
Adorned through you with wreaths and garlands

20. Like a quiet wilderness devoid of beasts
With nomads returning to inhabit it

21. Like a rosebush thorny in days of youth
With flowers the infants and newborns suckle

22. We’ve known you, my Master, to have resolute principles
With resolve, strong purposes can be attained

23. And wisdom in facing the brave, sound opinion
And firm justice through which the unjust perish

24. Raise over the land’s horizon a moon of fairness
By which one straying from truth can be guided

25. And battle with the swords of security and prosperity
With your justice leading, misery's hosts

26. And fulfill our hopes in you, our Master
The zealous, for whom great glories are intended

27. Do not refrain from evil ones in the world
Can a lion at rest be praised while sitting?

28. Your glory touches the stars, lofty in elevation
So even the highest bow down before it

29. I congratulate the land - your return
Restoring to it sincerity and safety

30. I congratulate many peoples, countless in number
Afflicted by time, so hostile and unkind

31. I congratulate myself, as I see with your return
The means of life have returned back to me

32. O joy of life, rejoice and ever continue
While you ascend to the pinnacle of glories

33. And guide to the path of guidance whoever strays
From the path, my Master, you are rightly guided

34. And let your subjects enjoy security and harmony
While your Lord assists you in all you seek
