1. With my eyes I saw the Pleiades star
So I thank my Lord for my vision

2. For a while I was dazzled by its light
Since by seeing it, never did I miss

3. And on earth I saw no other planet
That I would ransom from the shining star

4. And the sea casts up pearls and what not
Like the casting of shining stars for pearls
