Fast or hesitant

Like snakes’ flow

10. It’s not what you spoil for me
Of coexistence in time

11. I’ve no crops, oil or food
In barrens

12. Nothing in it
Brothers dispute

13. So I warn you, a cat
With fiery eyes

14. Kept away from you, a cat
With clutching hands

15. It’s not what necessitates this
Return safely

A smile in it disparagement

27. And paintings of friends
Hung on the walls

28. Some are old and some are
Youth in prime

29. Yesterday, my mother and father
Asked when I returned

30. I wonder when you were absent
Where were you

31. I said I was in a home
Of wonders of time

32. If you want to see it
Follow me

33. They saw it then said
As they advise me

34. This is the home of a writer
Obsessed with poetry, alas

35. Don’t enter it after this
It leads to intimacy

36. How can I disobey
My parents

37. They raised me with care
And nurtured me when little

38. I care for them as they cared for me
And they cared for me as I cared for them

39. I said and the heart suffers
What it suffers

40. You now deny my loyalty
O son of the immoral

41. Should I stay solitary
Without a second

42. And thus even among
The cats I'm disgraced

43. Or isn't it enough that I
Have meaning and rhetoric

44. My tongue a pasture
And the pasture a tongue

45. So if I compose a poem
Rhymes like pearls

46. And pure metres
Known for a while

47. And my conscience is noble
Known by both mankind and jinn

48. And if called upon by my name
I won't hesitate

49. Yet I stay like this, no one
Sees me and I see no one

50. He said: O finest writer
Leave this raving

51. Earn money to enjoy
Friends' company

52. Farewell, my mother
And father are waiting
