1. With time wounds heal,
And after night dawn breaks.

2. Don't grieve for what has passed,
For grief gives way to cheer.

3. Struggle on through waves of care,
For life is but a strife.

4. Did you not know me once before,
When woe would set me all afire?

5. The world grew strait for me to bear,
Its burden was too much to bear.

6. I sigh till I can scarce draw breath,
Ashamed, feeling my honour stained,

7. Till to a noble soul I came;
His generous spirit soothed my pain.

8. Joy and delight returned anew,
And peace and comfort I regain.

9. A treasured friend is balm indeed,
While for a foe no cure we need.

10. Peerless he is, beyond all praise,
The finest words cannot convey

11. His noble mien in prose or verse,
His courage known by friend and foe.

12. Muhammad! Of Abraham's line,
Whose glories every book recalls.

13. Long have I known you from afar,
As wind knows well its destined way.

14. Though time may come and go,
My friend, you are my strongstay.

15. And but for you I have no Peer
To veil me in modesty's robe.

16. Your nature is a garden fair,
Watered by streams, tending hearts torn.

17. Eloquence fails to sing your praise,
Poets and eulogies fall short.

18. Your clan knows well your noble heart,
As valorous swords know tempered steel.
