1. Leave him be, for his awake-talk
Brings no benefit, how then his dream?

2. Deny him and believe in the Book of God
If you desire the path of peace for him

3. Deem him foolish, for he knows nothing but
The dreams that come to him each night

4. Strange that the Prophet said to Gabriel
I know nothing except what is revealed to me

5. Yet this dreamer claims to know the time
Appointed by his dreams for Judgment Day

6. If only he'd not woken from his sleep and
Set the people astray, establishing his dream

7. O mighty King, a baboon in the jungle
Runs amok while you slumber unaware

8. Go to him, for you are the fortress of
Knowledge and faith, break his bones apart

9. What face of the Prophet appears to you
In dreams, O finest example of the vulture?

10. God forbid the Prophet instructed you
To shorten his words as you have done

11. The purified Family conveyed the Quran
Explaining its rules on his behalf

12. Before he passed, completing the religion
Or building castles of glory for himself

13. Sleep now, and see not as you have claimed
Lest you be stripped of any honor
