1. Have I shown you the stars that have become full moons?
Or the dawns that have become light?

2. Or the branches that have become roots?
Many a cub that has become a ferocious lion.

3. Cry out - why do I see none but
People with hearts full of joy and delight?

4. I see only the radiance of a forehead
And cheeks that have blossomed with flowers.

5. And faces that happiness has illuminated,
And hearts that have unified in feeling.

6. And Tetouan appeared like a bride
Wearing a dress of silk and satin.

7. It is said that the prince, great in glory,
Has made prosperous all that was ruined.

8. For this the existence was fragrant with happiness
For this you see all the world adorned

9. And all smiling with joy.
Delegations from every region took pride

10. In coming to give glad tidings.
You see none of the people except

11. Every pasha, leader of renown,
President, army commander,

12. Governor, ambassador,
Dignitary, judge, or noble,

13. Literate or renowned scholar.
And congratulations from kings arrived

14. From all corners of the world, filling the air.
And congratulations of our ruling king, may he be supported and victorious,

15. Were the crown of all the congratulations,
When the king sent the minister

16. With the best delegations of every brave one,
By which the elite were content.

17. A king whose era boasts and is proud
Of past ages and eras.

18. If you wish to describe him, every talented poet
Is too narrow in rhyme and verse.

19. To remain for the people a treasure and reserve,
Mending their broken wings.

20. Every day his praise adorns a celebration,
As necklaces adorn the throats of brides.

21. On nights of festivity they held,
The like of which time has never seen.

22. Neither Chosroes could manage to create them,
Nor could Caesar be an aid to Chosroes.

23. A night made the day its shirt,
So you see it embroidered above.

24. The carpet of lights shone beautifully,
Green as the rainbow, exceedingly fresh.

25. And the drums of joy beat tambourines
Happily, to summon all to gather.

26. And the cheers—their voices rose up
Shouting in the air to illuminate.

27. And the arts of musical rhythms of every kind,
Sometimes softly and sometimes loudly.

28. From the intensity, when they sang, they bent
Like tree branches bearing birds.

29. In a palace as if beauty itself
Had cast off its embroidered gown upon it.

30. You cannot tell, for the delicate workmanship in it,
Whether it is engraved or scattered pearls.

31. And the servers showed us amazing feats—
My description falls short of their merit.

32. And the guards tightened their belts,
So the men seemed like eagles.

33. A wedding that shames the ancient saying,
A wedding of Buran, eternal, never to fade.

34. Oh, if only you had seen with your eyes like me,
My emotions would have sufficed for palaces.

35. How can emotions suffice to describe a wedding
That is the wedding of the Most High, Most Powerful?

36. What meaning could capture it, even if I exhausted
Every talented poet with abundant verse?

37. Of excellent name and traits—O you whose
Reputation diffused the scent of musk and perfume.

38. You who pleased God, the King, the people, the land—
You who pleased the conscience.

39. You were created for glory—this is
An inscription of glory upon your brow.

40. So command time however you wish and desire,
And you will see time as your obedient servant.

41. You are like the sun—whenever an eye saw it
It lowered its gaze, hapless before its light.

42. A gift from you prevents the eye from
Remaining with it, out of yearning for the sight.

43. God has granted you a nature—
People appreciated its right estimation.

44. So we send you congratulations, hoping
From God that your eras endure,

45. Lifting my palms in supplication,
That you see in posterity abundant good.

46. And history repeats itself when
You show me the stars have become full moons.
