1. When were the lions saddled except those grieving?
And when were swords sheathed except the sharp ones?

2. And what is prison but a renewing world?
And God has in this existence worlds upon worlds.

3. And no weaknesses were loosened in it for souls,
Nor were any sacrosanct things violated for a person in it.

4. You see them all, whether elder or younger,
On equal footing, all satiated and fed.

5. So oh prison, in your vicinity I am safe
From frowning hearts while throats boast.

6. Oh prison, in your vicinity I am safe
From the hell of actions while speech is but winds.

7. When tears concur in me regretfully,
Then what good can tears, however copious, avail?

8. And I am but wares whose folk have perished
And no comers to it have bartered.

9. I built on the sand the foundation of their love
And I am going to demolish that foundation.
