1. My country's love is on my tongue and in my blood
My heart praises it and my mouth prays for it

2. And there is no good in one who does not love his country
Nor in the ally of love if he is not loyal

3. And whoever complains of a house then denies its merit
Is an animal above whom every foreigner is civilized

4. Have you not seen that if a bird comes to its nest
It shelters it in its wings and sings?

5. And there is no homeland for one who has not
Sacrificed for it even if he belongs to it

6. Yet homelands are for people like the sun that
Illuminates paths for them while many among them are blind

7. And whoever wrongs homelands or forgets their right
Is hit by the arts of events with darkness

8. And there is no good in one who, if he loves his country
Stays to cry over a demolished quarter

9. And those nights with their people have passed
So let the ignorant learn

10. And nothing elevates homelands except their men
And do people rise except with a ladder?

11. And whoever has merit yet is miserly with it
Toward his people, they can do without him and dispraise him

12. And whoever revels in bliss is wretched in it
If those he brothered are not prosperous
