1. O night, you have stirred up longings, direct them

So it came to reveal it to people through a simile

3. We see it in the form of the moon's beauty
And we see the moon appearing as a form within it

4. It comes with a sky full of its excellences
For my heart, though it does not satisfy it

5. And the comfort of eternity comes in its rays
Seeking on earth those who on earth seek it

6. And how many messages the late night sends through it
To the lovers, so it comes to them and conveys them

7. It says to the abandoned lover, smiling:
Take me as an apparition came from her you name

8. And to him whom the hand of separation distanced in its bedouins:
I am from your eyes, I come nearest to it

9. And to him whom the despair of passion wasted away:
Look at me and do not neglect wishing for it

10. As for me, the full moon came to me in rapture
