And death does not forget, while your heart is oblivious.

With which you are preoccupied, and fear God's reckoning.

8. Asceticism in a adamant liar,
Who denies the resurrection, is but misguidance and folly.

9. I see this speech as improper, even if
You outwardly demonstrate something other than these vain words.

10. I saw you feigning asceticism,
While we need its likeness from you.

11. If wearing wool is your proof by which
You claim salvation, then I forbid you from it.

12. There is nothing in your garb, if the inner self strays
From you, other than a weak rope.

13. Nothing is accepted from you except that by which
The voices of the mouths have judged you.

14. The matter, woe to you, is still up to you
As long as you have not equaled our God.
