1. For those shaken in the West, the East itself was shaken,
And it flooded the Moroccans, yet it did not flood them.

2. And it drew from the commotion clouds
With which the polished iron flashed lightning.

3. Encompassing the breadth and length of the country,
Such that there was no face that it did not confront, no horizon.

4. As if the happinesses of good news bear calamities
Upon my heart - but their lights expose happiness.

5. In it friends attacked however they wished,
And destruction went to none but those who defended what is right.

6. Among them some had supple coats of mail donned,
Some had elegant sidelocks, some had tender cheeks.

7. They are as lions - but lions in truth -
Quenching them the draft of death and piercing cold.

8. They turned upon them every red complexion that was hidden
With the cheer of one who gives drink and the enthusiasm of one made to drink.

9. Rebels whom Allah made obedient through their elders,
So He picked them off one by one and refined their stubbornness.

10. The fifth who nourished them were the Zanata for mischief,
And it is the right of branches to resemble the origin.

11. You see in them audacity and decency,
Worthlessness yet trickery, weakness yet cunning.

12. And it is wondrous that gazelles do not escape them,
For there is none among them who is soft in nature or gentle in disposition.

13. Boorish, rude - not an excuse excuses them -
When they start their killing, they do it out of passion.

14. The most wicked of Allah’s creation, such that when they return
To give the destruction its counterpart, they dazzle with skill.

15. The armies of Allah came to them standing firm.
So the morning of Saturday had the right upon them for what it had the right for.

16. The seas of death came close to their hot-tempered men,
So it stirred like spinning wool, raveling the thread.

17. And the one whose wickedness on a day of commotion is inherent,
His climbing from between his companions is slick.

18. He shot him, deafening him with the skulls of his head,
An imam of guidance who confronted misguidance like none other confronted it.

19. And the king whom he used to anger destroyed him,
So he retreated under humiliation to the possession and chains.

20. And his ties were severed in pardon and gift for what would come,
To strengthen clinging to the firmest handhold.

21. So where is the one who pretended to have leadership
Over his people! Very intensely he avoided honesty.

22. The least of them is that they entrenched themselves in their salvation
Wandering the plateau and lightning.

23. And they even dropped their weapons lightening their load,
So how many weakened and disabled, how many unsheathed and discarded!

24. By their lives they were disgraced though they had been mighty,
And who can endure ochre and white and blue?

25. They fled while fleeing was inherent in them,
And who can withstand a stab, a blow, and a pelt?

26. On their feet they arrived at the places of their homes.
So - far from them! Far from them and crushed be them, crushed!

27. And below them at Smâra they dug in,
So towards them the swords paved roads.

28. And in the formidable cavalcade they foolishly came,
And that formidable cavalcade so split them.

29. They made a losing deal the day
The swords of truth unsheathed upon them and did not sheathe.

30. And by the bringing of crimes their zeal was cut off
As the hand of a criminal is cut off when he commits theft.

31. It - today - has become dejected, downcast,
And it has become, with the mark of victory, joyful and pleasant.

32. Its clouds have gathered in the atmosphere,
From which the blood of enemies and striking dripped.

33. And seas were extended to iron which did not withdraw
To ebb except that the tyrants in them drowned.

34. Have Fes and Sabta settled after it
Or have they shifted like two race horses for it?

35. Have the people of Rome in the peninsula taken heed
Of the abhorred sedition that would crush them with crushing?

36. Do they not know that the obstacles before them
Are few in following up the destruction of those who build?

37. And that the Raiser of their land will soon satisfy
Every sincerely stalwart believer with truth?

38. With the opening of Tlemcen to polytheism by force
He has burdened the wretched from it with the compulsion of power.

39. The protectors have surrounded it and stared fixedly,
Like the Helpers of prophethood at the dawn.

40. And they pressed upon it intensely until it surrendered to them,
And it is the habit of faith to wipe out sin.

41. Hotbeds of war galloping to the fray
Confronting the Persians resembling them in emancipation.

42. When they pierce their peers their spears leave
Tears in the garb of the coffin that describe rending.

43. As if in their grip for provisions through overpowering
Are the souls of the enemies of truth to expand sustenance.

44. They met it with assault, so its locks opened for them,
And the seriousness and meticulousness made them own its heights and passes.

45. And they marched to it confident of its opening
As if good tidings inform the army or lightning strike.

46. It gestured leadership to the desired imam, so he obtained it as booty and expanded its emancipation.
Ask without cease since the cloud overshadowing it

47. Which emerged over Marrakesh bearing thunderbolts.
And its people went beyond bounds in disobedience that brought destruction,

48. So I would not increase anything but sorrow and remaining.
It is as if the architect of the wall wanted its collapse

49. In order to make the most wretched triumph at his hand the most pious.
Otherwise, how did it crumble from every side

50. As if the dunes collapsed and the rivers gave way?
Is it not the divine hand that repelled the projectiles and the catapults

51. Without their being rent or rending any rents?
Lo! It is only the divine hand that came to it.

52. So there is no crevice that did not collapse in awe and split.
And He opened from its gates every barred one,

53. So there is no shattering that did not crash down in toppling and caving in.
The tongues of fire have within it eloquence

54. Even if they do not understand letters or speaking.
And O wellspring of its iron melting midst!

55. That which expanded beyond any expanse exhaled.
The opposites met within it without repulsion,

56. And whoever is given success is not deprived of suitability.
Tidings of its opening which stained the atmosphere with their perfume

57. So that horizons do not cease to expand its fissures.
It prides over Saturday the day of the wedding night

58. And it was only from its fruits in truth.
The meteors threatened shooting stars and were cautious,

59. And events in the blackest dark came rhythmically.
There the sword disseminates for the spear its dissemination,

60. And you see a cavalryman conversing with an infantryman.
They realized that Allah’s cavalry moves towards them

61. To destroy them with killing and tie them up with shackles.
And invade them in the midst of their homes and you see

62. None but their defeated gangs as prey.
When the lion of the thickets meets the destruction say,

63. “The wolves of the barren valley, what do they meet?”
Blessed is He who revived religion and worldly life

64. For the state of Yahya the Desired and guided creation.
And He brought out from his sons the blossom of a star

65. That competes in its lights with the sunset and the sunrise.
Zakariyya, the prince, recited the欢,

66. And after him Ibrahim put forth precedence.
And Abu Bakr came last with the foremost

67. In virtue, reaching up to their rank.
Sufficient for him is the guardian heir apparent,

68. So from a firm handed judge comes one firm and piercing.
We see him with them in every absence and witnessing,

69. Secrets given or enemies not confronted.
They characterized for him determination, wisdom, and piety

70. And they bequeathed to him guidance, manners, and creation.
An imam who encompassed the superiority of the imams before him

71. And he increased in knowledge, clemency, and kindness.
To justice and beneficence he guides and is guided,

72. So he resembles Al-Fârûq and there is no difference.
He was named with a word for life and the living,

73. So what a noble name from which he was derived and coined!
In his right hand purity drips sweetly like the Euphrates,

74. Not salty or bitter or piercing.
So the days have congratulated the fulfilling times

75. That dawned like rain clouds, now summoned to be sated.
And they turned over the religion of Abraham with protection,

76. Upon which truth has stamped its manifestation and guidance its path.
And the world continues to be through his glory a garden,

77. Its children singing his praises with tender necks.
