1. By the life of the gleaming full moon
Upon the transgressor and upon the night visitor

2. God has indeed proven true in His endeavor
While the false endeavor is not like the true

3. He sees his salvation in seclusion
So he turns away from the ways of the taster

4. And he whom the mercy of people did not suffice
How can the mercy of the Creator suffice him?

5. Oh, be silent about speaking nonsense
And restrain it with what the speaker says

6. Due to the failure of your hearing, live quietly
With a heart anxious about missing out

7. And spend the night weeping and crying
Over deeds that are not pretentious
