1. My yearnings have overwhelmed me due to your absence,
And my eyelids have dried after you all.

2. Between my ribs lies a burning anguish,
Quenching it has exhausted the floods.

3. Alas! Patience stays far from me after that,
While I am distant from family and home.

4. If Mount Thahlan endured some of what
I have been burdened with, its peaks would crumble.

5. Captivity and coercion with no rest between them,
And estrangement from my family and home.

6. And amidst this, how much sorrow,
Exposed grief, passion and disgrace!

7. And that is trivial compared to the taste of separation,
For separation is the second annihilation.
