1. Beware of greed and avarice
One's contentment comes from persuasion

2. In what he claims of noble disposition
And abstains from begging and importunity

3. By Allah, persistence is not like desisting
The torrent subsided from the mountain peak

4. The lifetime is bare unto death
The rope's connection unto severance

5. Woe to the ears without hearing
And souls content with deception

6. Leave loyalty and exert yourself in the times
Indeed weaning comes after suckling
