1. Abu Yaddad, so praise him in verse, and seek
Help from your Lord, Lord of mankind, and speak truly, do not refuse.

2. And tell that the water is the water of his springs,
Killer of thirst, by which the prudent man's wisdom is purified.

3. And if honey mixes into it, from one whose neighborhood is pleasant,
That is because of what he hopes for of joy, be secure.

4. And if the love-sick one finds solace in its air,
Whose heart grief has shown the blows of fate, feel safe.
