1. We plucked gold from lilies
And extracted dusk from henna blossoms
١. قَدْ قَطَفْنَا ذَهَباً مِنْ سُنْدُسِ
وَاقْتَضَيْنَا شَفَقاً عَنْ حِنْدِسِ
2. And hunted, amid flowers of the meadow,
The delight of the eye and the joy of the soul
٢. وَقَنَصْنَا بَيْنَ أَزْهَارِ الرُّبَى
قُرَّةَ الْعَيْنِ وَزَهْوَ الأَنْفُسِ
