1. My greeting reached you as you reached me,
You reached as I knew you would reach.

2. Easier than a glance from an eyelid
Was what you reached though you sought the hardest.

3. So I have reached, reached from what
I feathered my arrows and you strung them.

4. You have stayed, you have lasted, you remain unharmed,
You have enjoyed, triumphed, conquered.

5. You have succeeded, spoken out, ascended,
You have been aided, protected, made fortunate.

6. You weakened not, lost not heart,
Nor became you feeble or gave in.

7. You lost not, regretted not,
Were hemmed in not, besieged not.

8. And God decrees what will please Him
Of His bounty if in Him you seek sanctuary.
