1. From the abode of Yahmadi I take my course
Seeking refuge for the transgressor
١. مِنْ مَقَامِ يَحْمَدِيٍّ أجْتَدِي
مَوْئِلاً أَعْتَدُّهُ لِلْمُعْتَدِي
2. Sheltering myself with patience and restraint
Lest fate unravel what is seen
٢. عَائِذاً بِالْحِلْمِ وَالإِجْمَالِ إِنْ
يَنْقَضِ الْغَيْبُ الذِي فِي الْمَشْهَدِ
3. And greetings from a forgiving friend
Whose gentle reproach is that of the noble lord
٣. وَسَلاَمٌ مِنْ سَلِيمٍ يَنْتَشِى
مِنْهُ رِيحُ الْعَتْبِ عَتْبِ السَّيِّدِ
