1. Hardship has touched me, and You are the All-Knowing,
Sorrow has befallen me, and You are the Ruler,
١. قَدْ مَسَّنِي الْكَرْبُ وَأَنْتَ الْعَالِمُ
وَعَلَّنِي الْغَمُّ وَأَنْتَ الْحَاكِمُ
2. Humiliation and lowliness are my adversaries,
At the door of Your bounty, which I persistently attend,
٢. وَالْتَذْتُ وَالإِذْلاَلُ لِي مُصَادِمُ
بِبَابِ فَضْلِكَ الذِي أُلاَزِمُ
3. So do not repel me, though I am a wanderer,
Your pardon, my Master, for I am a wrongdoer,
٣. فَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي وَإِنِّي هَائِمُ
عَفْوَكَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ إِنِّي ظَالِمُ
4. Your forgiveness, O Allah, for I am a sinner,
Your mercy, O Most Merciful, for I am regretful.
٤. غُفْرَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي جَارِمُ
رُحْمَاكَ يَا رَحْمَانُ إِنِّي نَادِمُ
