1. O seeker of knowledge and its fruits everlasting
Both gifts of the Most High whom grace envelops

2. One He has exalted, made overflow and distinguished
The other He has guided, granted success and empowered

3. So they met and contended in seeking
While both drew fully of praises abounding

4. Equal they became in their share for neither
Found in full its fortunes or sum of them rounding

5. So submit to the relief of afflictions
By which the youth is wearied of life and its pounding

6. And live forever, for the like of you lives forever
As does the owner of glory and its wielding astounding
