1. O eye of the ministry, you who occupy a lofty station,
You have worn out the children of the sword of time, striking.

2. Abdullah, your venerable father, whom
We hope will frustrate evil omens and undo knots.

3. We appeal to you through his merit,
O his son, dispelling the enveloping darkness.

4. Have you not heard our words and considered
The plight of orphans, a ruined lineage?

5. Time has abandoned them, O you who seek
Refuge in God from the evil of fickle time.

6. And they carry a heavy, ruinous debt
Between the peak of their neglect and the mover.

7. Thus they did not inherit, though you inherited
Only hardship after that legacy.

8. Especially that imprisoned one, for verily he
Is on the path of horrors, a clear traveller.

9. And to your station, which humbles the lofty,
Greetings as fragrant as wafting incense.
