1. Congratulations, congratulations, now that the abode of glory is unattainable,
And the blessings of God's kindness visit my soul,

2. With your return, O sun of eminence, with the most brilliant ornaments,
We hoped for the tower of felicity—rather, you are more radiant,

3. With the light of the rising sun after its setting,
And the sheen of a burnishing for youth when it loses its luster.

4. Congratulations on a return, which to one whose beloved
Is, like me, the surah of Praise, is most praised.

5. So do not blame me—my name is Happy
To congratulate, I do not cease, for my lifetime I compose poetry.

6. So Ahmad either requires praise from the praised one,
Or I thank the gifts of the Kind One that visit me.

7. Thus, if I become a gateway for thanking that is hoped for,
And was like one who ends up despised and moaning,

8. Why have I picked words that are illuminated?
And why have I known how to end and begin?
