مَا يَزْدَري بِسُلافِ صَرْخَدْ

In its heart, so it chirped and trilled

٤. فَمَشَتْ حُمَيَّا حُبِّهِ
في لُبِّهِ فَصَبَا فَغَرَّدْ

١٧. عُجْ بِالْحِمَى مِنْ حُبِّهِ
إِنْ شِئْتَ فِي الدَّارَيْنِ تَسْعَدْ

18. And beware the company of one lacking
And abandoning one who refuses and persists

١٨. وَحَذَارِ صُحْبَةَ نَاقِصٍ
وَتَرَاكِ مَن يَأْبَى وَيَأْبَدْ

19. One who does not find in his love
The taste of sweetness is not praiseworthy

١٩. مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فِي حُبِّهِ
طَعْمَ الْحَلاوَةِ لَيْسَ يُحْمَدْ

20. One who does not want from his sea
The fresh springs will not be guided

٢٠. مَنْ لَمْ يَرِدْ مِنْ بَحْرِهِ الْ
عَذْبِ الْمَوَارِدِ لَنْ يُسَدَّدْ

21. The opposite of the contrary is compatible
With the one who desires in every scene

٢١. عَكْسُ النقِيضِ مُوافِقٌ
لِمُرِيدِهِ فِي كُلِّ مَشْهَدْ

22. Religion and worldly life belong to one

٢٢. وَالدِّينُ والدنْيا لِمَنْ
وَالَى مَوَدَّتَهُ بِمَرْصَدْ

23. Good fortune and prosperity in
The wording of praise for him is sheathed

٢٣. وَاليُمْنُ وَالإِقْبالُ فِي
لَفْظِ الثَّنَاءِ عليهِ مُغْمَدْ

24. He is the treasure of wealth and glory
That which differs from it is firmly established

٢٤. كَنْزُ الْغِنَى هُوَ وَالْعَنَا
مِمَّا تَبَايُنُهُ مُؤَبَّدْ

25. One will not aspire to glory
Unless he tastes from it using a ladder

٢٥. لاَ يَعْرُجَنَّ إِلَى العُلاَ
مَنْ لمْ يَلُذْ مِنْهُ بِمِصْعَدْ

26. The door of wishes will not open
For one who does not win through it a key

٢٦. لاَ يَفْتَحَنْ بَابَ الْمُنَى
مَنْ لَمْ يَفُزْ مِنْهُ بِمِقْلَدْ

27. It unleashes the horses of desire
One who emulates him in separation

٢٧. يَفْرِي دَيَاجِيرَ الْهَوَى
مَنْ يَقْتَدِي مِنْهُ بِفَرْقَدْ

28. And protects from the band of enemies

٢٨. وَيُجَارُ منْ جَمْعِ الْعِدَى
مَنْ يَنْتَمي مِنْهُ لِمُفْرَدْ

بَتَّارِ وَهْوَ بهِ مُقَلَّدْ

لِوِدَادِهِ طَعْماً فَيُرْعَدْ

31. A secret from a sultan, is more precious
The care of the Lord Most High

٣١. سِرٌّ مِنَ الرحْمَانِ لاَ
سِرٌّ منَ السُّلْطانِ أَخْمَدْ

32. Has humiliated the hero who plotted
The sun of guidance slaying misguidance has come

٣٢. وَعِنَايَةُ الرَّبِّ الرؤُو
فِ أَذَلَّتِ الْبَطَلَ الْمُزَرَّدْ

33. The rain of dew, the patron, Muhammad
It shone over a grave containing

٣٣. قَدْ جَاءَ شَمْسَ مَعَارِفٍ
وَالْجَهْلُ أَتْهَمَ ثُمَّ أَنْجَدْ

And the verified knowledge and the

٣٤. وَالدِّينُ مَفْصُومُ الْعُرَى
وَالَغَيُّ أَبْرَقَ ثمَّ أَرْعَدْ

35. General advice for every guided one
It eclipsed and made more general

٣٥. وَالْحَقُّ مَفْلولُ الشَّبَا
وَالبَغْيُ صَارِمُهُ مُهَنَّدْ

36. Than it, broadly, and more beneficial
The axis of the lights of guidance

٣٦. وَالْخَيْرُ فَاعِلُهُ تَبَدَّدْ
وَالشَّرُّ مُوقِدُهُ تَوَدَّدْ

37. And the minaret of mystic knowledge and pillars
A flood from the spirit of one

٣٧. وَالْغَرْبُ غَرْبُ نَجَاتِهِ
مُتَخَرِّقٌ وَالْبَأْسُ مُوقَدْ

38. Whose achievements echo and repeat
And after him it reached

٣٨. وَبُغَاثُهُ مُسْتَنْسِرٌ
وَسَرَاتُهُ سُرَّتْ بِجَدْجَدْ

39. Our lantern whose light has ignited
The light of the time, Abu Ali

٣٩. وَشَحَا الرَّدَى أُفْوَاهَهُ
فُضَّتْ لِبَلْعِ وُلاَةِ أَحْمَدْ

40. The pride of whoever obeyed and unified
One who does not attempt his stature

٤٠. صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ اللهُ مَا
نَصَرَ الإِلَهُ بِهِ وَأَيَّدْ

41. In solving a complex dilemma
And ask about the lessons or the couplets

٤١. وَالآلِ والأَصْحابِ مَنْ
نَصَروا النَّبِيَّ بِكُلِّ مِجْدَدْ

فيِ بُرْجٍ سَامِي الجِيدِ أَجْرَدْ

وَحَوَى شَوَارِدَهُ وَقَيَّدْ

٤٧. وَأَبَادَ مِنْ سُحْبِ الْجَهَا
لَةِ مَا تَكَاثَفَ أَوْ تَكَلَّدْ

٥١. وَرَمَى الضَّلاَلَ بِأَسْهُمٍ
مِنْ سُنَّةِ الْهَادِي فَأَقْصَدْ

٥٢. فَالدِّينُ أَصْبَحَ ضَاحِكاً
حُلْوَ الْحُلَى فِي زَيِّ فَوْهَدْ

غَرَّاءُ حَالِيَةَ الْمُقَلَّدْ

لِلَّهِ مَا أَحْلَى وَأَرْغَدْ

55. So this transmitter through it is restricted
If it tasted bad

٥٥. ثَبَتَتْ لَهَا الأَفْرَاحُ إِذْ
رَقَصَتْ لَهَا الأَرْوَاحُ مِنْ دَدْ

56. And became overcooked then limp
And was improper when it gifted

٥٦. مَنْ ذَاقَ مِنْهَا شُرْبَةً
أَوْلَتْهُ سُكْراً لَيْسَ يَنْفَدْ

57. My feeble, worthless leaves
But a raindrop

٥٧. فَإِذَا صَحَا مِنْهَا بِهَا
طَرَقَتْهُ لِذَاتِهَا فَعَرْبَدْ

58. To the Nile when it flooded and foamed
Excuse it, my master, for

٥٨. آخَى بِهَا بَيْنَ الْعِبَا
دِ فَأَصْلَحَتْ مَا الصَّحْوُ أَفْسَدْ

59. Excuse with you is well-prepared
This—and my elegance

٥٩. عَرِّجْ بِأَنْجَادِ الْعُلاَ
مِنْ أَرْضِهِ تَسْعَدْ وَتُنْجَدْ

60. Did not extend toward its wing a hand
Your love plucked it

٦٠. تَجِدِ الْمُنَى دَانِي الْجَنَى
وَتُصَافِحِ الآمَالَ بِالْيَدْ

61. From a garden of thought not yet harvested
A storm of passionate love for you

٦١. وَتَرَ الْجَلاَلَ مُخَيِّماً
فِي بُرْدِ مِفْضَالٍ مُمَجَّدْ

62. Struck it with bursts of rancor
And your acceptance of it, my master

٦٢. وَالْبِشْرَ يُعْشِي نُورُهُ
عَيْنَ الْعَنَا وَالْوَجْدُ يُطْرَدْ

63. Will raise it and it will be happy
And it will boast to the pearl which

٦٣. وَالْفَضْلَ مَنْثُورَ اللِّوَا
ءِ لِمَنْ تَصَوَّبَ أَوْ تَصَعَّدْ

64. In the necklace of the most splendid settled
Grant me your approval, for whoever attains

٦٤. وَالْحِلْمَ رَاسٍ طَوْدُهُ
وَقَصَائِدَ الإِرْشَادِ تُنْشَدْ

65. Your approval will conquer every prey
And ignite every dimwit

٦٥. وَالْعِلْمَ مَاجَ عُبَابُهُ
يُرْوِي وَيُشْبِعُ مَنْ تَوَرَّدْ

66. So tomorrow morn or the next day they will mourn
For I have become accustomed to approval

٦٦. مَنْ لَمْ يَطُفْ بِحِمَاهُ بَيْ
تِ الْمَكْرُمَاتِ فَلَيْسَ يُرْفَدْ

67. And shrivels preserve what they are accustomed to
May God maintain your existence

٦٧. مَنْ لَمْ يُشَاهِدْ دَرْسَهُ
وَنَفَائِسُ الأَبْحَاثِ تُورَدْ

68. And righteousness in life is immortalized
He lives so he can be found when lost

٦٨. وَالنُّجْحُ دَانٍ وَالْوَقَا
رُ يَحُفُّ مِنْهُ أَغَرَّ أَوْحَدْ

69. One who cannot be found when present is lost

٦٩. وَجَدَا الصَّوَابِ يُمِدُّهُ
هَطَّالُهُ بِزُلاَلِ مَدْمَدْ

٧٠. وَالْبِشْرُ يُوعِدُ بِالْمُنَى
وَسَحَائِبُ الأَوْهَامِ تُبْعَدْ

٧١. وَاللَّفْظُ يَجْلُو خُرَّداً
قَدْ زَفَّهَا الْفِكْرُ الْمُؤَيَّدْ

٧٢. وَالْفَهْمُ يُنْشِدُ مَنْ تَبَلَّدْ
لَبَّيْكَ أَبْشِرْ لاَ تَأَلَّْد

٧٩. وَشَهِدْتُ سَعْدَ الدين ِقَدْ
أَقْرَا مَقَاصِدَهُ لِقُصَّدْ

٨٠. وَرَأَيْتُ مَجْدَ الدينِوَالْ
قَامُوسُ مُشْكِلُهُ يُقَيَّدْ

٨١. فَأَفَادَنِي من نَظْمِهِ ال
مُزْري بِأسْلاكِ الزبَرْجَدْ

٨٢. عَرِّجْ بِمُنْعَرِجِ الْهِضَا
بِ يَتِيمَةِ الْعِقْدِ الْمُنَضَّدْ

٨٣. وَقَصِيدَةً قَصَدَتْ حُلَى ال
إِبْدَاعِ مِنْ مَثْنىً وَمَوْحَدْ

٩٢. سَحَّتْ علَى جَدَثٍ حَوَى

٩٣. وَالْعِلْمَ ذَا التَّحْقيقِ وَالْ
نُّصْحَ الْعَمِيمَ لِكُلِّ مُهَتَّدْ

٩٤. وَأَسَحَّ مِنْ وَبْلِ الْحَيَا
وَأَعَمَّ مِنْهُ جَداً وَأَفْيَدْ

٩٥. وَمَدَارَ أَنْوارِ الْهُدَى
وَمَنَارَ عِرْفانٍ وَسُؤْدَدْ

٩٦. هَطْلاَءُ مِنْ رَوْحِ الذِي
أَبْقَى مَآثِرَهُ تُرَدَّدْ

٩٧. وَأَنَالَهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
مِصْبَاحَنَا ذَا اللَّذْ تَوَقَّدْ

٩٨. نُورُ الزمانِ أبُو عَلِ
يٍّ عِزُّ مَنْ لَبَّى وَوَحَّدْ

٩٩. مَنْ لاَ يُحَاوِلُ شَأْوَهُ
فِي حَلِّ إِشْكَالٍ تَعَقَّدْ

١٠٠. وَسَلِ الدُّرًوسَ أَوِ الطُّرُو
سَ فَإِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ تُفَنَّدْ

شَاهَدْتَ كُومَ الْجَهْلِ تَصْخَدْ

١٠٢. وَإِذَا انْتَضَى مِنْ هَدْيِهِ
عَضْباً رَأَيْتَ الزَّيْغَ يُحْصَدْ

١٠٣. فَكَأَنَّ سَيْفَ اللهِِ عِنْ
دَ الشَّامِ قَدْ شَامَ الْمُهَنَّدْ

١٠٤. أَوْ حَمْزَةًوَهْوَ الْغَضَنْ
فَرُ يَقْضِمُ الْجُنْدَ الْمُجَنَّدْ

١٠٥. أوْ ذَا الفَقَّارِيَقُدُّ مِنْ
جَمْعِ الْخَوَارِجِ مَا تَمَرَّدْ

١٠٦. أَوْ عَضْبَ عَمْرٍوذَا الصَّرَا
مَةِ يَوْمَ فَارِسَإِذْ تَجَرَّدْ

١٠٧. سَجَدَتْ رُؤُوسُهُمُ لَهُ
وَالْفُرْسُ لِلنِّيرَانِ سُجَّدْ

١٠٨. مَوْلاَيَ يَا مَنْ حَاكَ مِنْ

بحَِيَائِهِ مِنْكُمْ مُوَرَّدْ

١١٢. رَفّلْتُهُ بِمَدِيحِكُمْ
إِذْ مِنْهُ لِلإِسْعَادِ يَصْعَدْ

١١٣. وَعَقَلْتُهُ بِعُلاكُمُ
فِلِذَا الرَّوِيُّ بِهِ مُقَيَّدْ

١١٤. إِنْ كَانَ سَاءَ مِزَاجُهُ
وَشَوَى فَأَنْضَجَ ثُمَّ رَمَّدْ

١١٥. وَأَسَاءَ إِذْ أَهْدى الزُّيُو
فَ لِمَعْدِنَيْ وَرِقٍ وَعَسْجَدْ

١١٦. بَلْ قَطْرَةً مِنْ آسِنٍ
لِلنِّيلِ حِينَ طَمَى وَأَزْبَدْ

١١٧. فَاعْذِرْهُ يَا مَوْلايَ إِ
نَّ الْعُذْرَ عِنْدَكُمْ مُمَهَّدْ

١١٨. هَذا وَإِنَّ تَأَنُّقِي
مَا مَدَّ نَحْوَ جَنَاهُ مِنْ يَدْ

١١٩. قَطَفَتْهُ رَاحَةُ حُبِّكُمْ
مِنْ رَوْضِ فِكْرٍ غَيْر أَغْيَدْ

١٢٠. أَذْوَتْهُ إِعْصَارٌ تَهُ
بُّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ لَفَحَاتِ حُقَّدْ

١٢١. وَقَبُولُكُمْ إِيَّاهُ يَا
مَوْلايَ يَرْفَعُهُ فَيَسْعَدْ

١٢٢. وَيُفَاخَرُ الدُّرُّ الذِي
فِي جِيدِ أَجْيَدَ قَدْ تَنَضَّدْ

١٢٣. هَبْ لِي رِضَاكَ فَمَنْ يَفُزْ
بِرِضَاكَ يَقْهَرْ كلَّ أصْيَدْ

١٢٤. وَيَهِجْ تَحَرُّقَ كُلِّ أوْغَدْ
فَيَحِنْ غَدَاةَ الْيَوْمِِ أَوْ غَدْ

١٢٥. فَلَقَدْ تَعَوَّدْتُ الرِّضَى
وَالْقَرْمُ يَحْفَظُ مَا تَعَوَّدْ

١٢٦. أبْقَى الإِلَهُ وُجُودَكُمْ
وَالْبَرُّ فِي الدُّنْيَا مُخَلَّدْ

١٢٧. يَحْيَى فَيُوجَدُ حِينَ يُفْقَدْ
