7. Then you be in its valleys kindling the flames.
And let the dew trickle down upon her tents,

8. Reminding her that I keep true to my vow.
If after parting from her I remain deprived of meeting her,

9. I sleep while her image is not before me.
And nothing pains my heart in the darkness but a bird

10. That laments upon a sweet branch of arnab.
It hides its inner feelings like I hide mine,

11. Like one who hides what I reveal and reveals what I hide.
