1. O you who mourns, what do you say?
We both ask and are asked.

2. May Allah not let you live a moment
When you slept in fear then awoke weary.

3. Then you did not rest in a nest as a bird
Except upon you is evidence.

4. When you inform that India is near,
Reaching needs for which the messenger.

5. And you came from India and told of it
That the covenant of love will soon fade.
